Any way to get the skin to tighten up after I have dieted down? Maybe there is not a miracle out there, but any way of getting it to tighten would be a help.

There are a lot of factors that can lead to loose skin – the most common being weight gain/weight loss and age. Sometimes we can remedy the situation by just getting a little leaner, as taking off the last little bit of fat may make the appearance of loose skin go away or appear less loose. There are a lot of “remedies” out there that people may recommend, but we haven’t found anything to truly tighten loose skin.

The best thing to do is lose a little more fat in the affected area and also work to build muscle in that area to “fill it out” with firm muscle.

It would be a good idea (if you aren't already) to add some additional essential fats to your program. Some examples: fish oil, flax oil, olive oil or EFA Gold caps.

Essential fats are great for nourishing skin, keeping it healthy, helping deal with inflammation and fighting off signs of aging. Nourished skin will be more resilient than dry, unhealthy skin.

Thanks Rachel, I do appreciate the advise. I am still in the throws of losing body fat, so I am trying to be patient with it all. I do supplement my diet with Udo's choice 4tbls daily, or the equivalent of EFA's. I am about to try Beverly's EFA gold in the next few weeks. The extra skin appears only in the lower abdominals, but no other part of my body, so maybe with more fat loss, it will disappear.
