I am working with Beverly for my firstfigure competition on Oct.28th. I just had a question-that I think I already know the answer to-about the fat loss on my legs(thighs!). I know it will be lost last-of course! But when can I expect to see loss? Anything I can do to speed the process up?? Would more cardio help? I have 10 weeks. My diet is already good. My current BF is @16.2% (which I am quite proud of!). Any other figure ladies out there with any advice besides "patience!". I just have this horrible fear of looking fantastic until the 'quarter turn to the rear!' Thank you in advance for any words of wisdom!!!

C-

Plyometric work intertwined with resistance training will do the trick. . .

I agree with Hyper. Also how many days a week are you doing legs? A possible increase in frequency could help out if you are only doing them one day a week. But Like you said just give them time.

Christy,
Its very hard on quite a few women to really get that stubborn "thick" look off your legs, I have trained many women and sometimes it gets very frustrating for them as the progress up top surpasses the progress down below! But "time" is the one word you need to really take hold of w/o really speeding things up so much that it really begins to eat away at the muscles, where you get excessive with the cardio and excessive with the diet where the cals get dropped so far, so continue to not fear the larger muscle group exercises and hit those squats ahrd and heavy mixed in with higher reps as well and Stiff legged deasdlifts and walking lunges and Split squats on the Smith machine with one leg back on the bench, heavy leg presses, regular deadlifts, and also change up the reps speeds where you go slow on the positive portion of the exercises and on another day go slow on the negative portion of the exercises, and of course try and spread out all of these movements and work hard each time you are there! Good Luck!

There's no quick solution, even lipo. The only thing as Craig mentions, is TIME. Speed things up and it's a heavy risk in losing the thing that burns fat, MUSCLE. The only way is to lose fat. Are you taking the Bev Lean Out? Lean Out with plenty of water and you're going to mobilize that fat right out of the system. If you're not ready come contest time, make your decision to go on to postpone. Don't sacrifice your body. It's too hard to gain muscle.

Thank you all for the info. I train legs twice a week now(for the last 6 weeks anyway). There are quite a few squats, lunges, deadlifts, presses...amongst other things! I am only doing 20 min. cardio(intervals) 4-5 times a week. I will just keep my nose to the grind and train hard-with determination & concentration!!! I have ten weeks as of tomorrow I believe-I can do this-it's patience I have to learn! I know I will turn around in a few weeks or so and be totally surprised by the rear view! Can't wait!! Thanks again to all of you!!!

Frank-
Yes I am taking lean out (right now 2 with every meal). Husband has suggested bumping up to 3. I am drinking water-but maybe not as much as I should. I will work on that! I agree-it takes too long to build the muscle to sacrifice it!! I have worked hard on my legs and I know the muscle is there-ready to pop-it's just waiting for the right moment! I can feel it-and see hints of it-people keep telling me my hamstrings look great...so I'll work hard and I'm sure they will come along...patience is a virtue right!!! Thank you for the advice!!

Just relax and keep doing everything right. You are 10 weeks out, that'a alot of time. Go into panick mode around 3-4 weeks out, but you won't even need to do that if you adhere to the plan. You're set, have faith, & put you body in an environment (diet, training, supps) to where it has no choice but to lean out!!

Stick with the 2 Lean Out per meal. You're going to be ok.
