Hey guys!! i just recently competed in my first figure comeptition back in april, it was an NPC show. In 4 weeks i have decided to compete in a NGA show on Sept. 30 in Duluth GA. I am basiclly using this show for practice because i will be competing again on Nov 4 in the NPC All South. Its a level 5 so iam doing this NGA to give me the practice on stage. i know that for the NGA they do drug test and for my last show i was using 7-Keto in my diet. If i am being tested should i use the 7-keto. Also can anyone tell me about NGA. How different is it from NPC. do the judges look for different things. The promoter of the show is Ultimate bodies by Carlos? ALso i read in the NGA regualtions that the figure competiors cannot wear oil, but can look alittle sheen, Ok what does that mean? Also does my tan have to be just as dark as the NPC requires?

Since rules can vary somewhat from organization to organization (and sometimes from show to show) the best thing for you to do is contact the show promoter for clarification on anything you are not certain about. This includes 7-Keto.

7-Keto is a metabolic derivative of DHEA but has nothing in common with DHEA, nor does it affect androgen or estrogen hormone levels in any way. Although 7-Keto has passed every drug screening procedure, some organizations still MISTAKENLY think that it is just a form of DHEA and have banned it accordingly.

Checking ahead will help you avoid any potential conflicts with the organization you are competing in.
