Did anyone notice that the girls for the 2006 Olympia are standing with their shoulders and hips not in alignment. They are more twisted to be front facing during the quarter turn to the side. I thought NPC was encouraging the girls to have their bodies in alignment and facing sideways, not looking at the judges. Is this changing? Monica B. is almost front facing and still placed well. Just an observation.

NPC is different than the IFBB. NPC is the amateur feeder for the IFBB.

The thought is that the twist is easier to make yourself look bigger, wider, etc. If you are completely side on more weaknesses, or strengths, whatever the case may be, become evident.

I thought it might have been a new way of thinking for 2006, because julie lohre has posts of charlotte pro in 2005 and everyone if facing side (no twisting).

It is easier to hide female organs that can protrude in the lower abdomen (even in the leanest of women) if you are twisted.
