Hello Everyone!!!! Smile

Well, I've decided to stop lurking and come out of the dark. It was my good fortune to find this forum filled with wonderful and supportive people.

I have always been interested in fitness but I could never stick with a program long enough to achieve my goals.

I'm a divorced empty nester living in Florida.

I am employed as an assistant to a young woman in a wheel chair.

Last year, I had a small brain tumor that lodged on my third optic nerve.
The first course of treatment for it, was 100mgs of prednisone daily, for 7 months.
Thank God the 'roids worked!!!
But one of the side effects of the roids was weight gain.

I was overweight to begin with but the 'roids pushed my weight up to 250 pounds.

I am 53, my weight is 219.7 and my body fat is 43%.

My goal is to acquire the knowledge to transform my lifestyle and my body.

I placed my first order with Beverly today.

Oh, I have previously posted as B, Roberson.

I look forward to learning from you and transforming my body with the knowledge I will acquire from Beverly and each of you.

To The Shark, "Hhhheyyy!!!! Nice to meet you and thank you for your kind words!!!

I appreciate you, for telling me "It WILL happen!"

For the first time in my life, I am not looking for that magic pill for weight loss. I believe it will happen, too.

I am not on a diet. I'm not making a temporary lifestyle change. I am on a daily journey that will last the rest of my life.

I'm down another pound and my clothes are getting loose, too. At the moment, I am learning to eat every 3 hours using portion control, getting use to drinking water, alot of water. lol And which supplements to take with each meal.

I am not working out at the moment. I am not following a strict meal plan, either. But I am counting my calories and using portion control. I did not want to overwhelm myself with too many changes at once.

Thanks again for the encouragement and the kind words-----> The Shark!!!

St Pete? Great place to live! I was in Clearwater, but moved to Polk County. Good luck on your transformation goals. The decision to change is one of the most important decisions you will ever make!

Hello Larry!!!

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond but thanks for the encouragement.

It has been a long while since I was here but now I am back and focused once again.

I'm back with loads of questions and loses of desire to change.

Brenda,

Best of luck to you. Get your mindset, and set your goals, short term, mid term, and long term. Strive for progress, not perfection. All you have to do is want it!! Any help feel free to ask. Nice to meet you!
