Adrenal Fatigue

Has anyone had/have issues with adrenal fatigue? I have good reason to believe that I'm experiencing some of it's symptoms. Post ingestion of caffeine (150~300mg), I am good to go for about 45 mins, then I often experience a severe crash which not only ends my workout, but wrecks my whole day. I've never had problems like this with the use of stimulants. I will most often spend the rest of the day feeling very lethargic, kind of like a sedated feeling.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Ryan

Ryan,
I experienced this years ago from overuse of Xenadrine. Are you currently on stimulants or just the caffiene? I would wake up and immediately feel tired and workouts were very taking. The only thing that seemed to help me was no stims (obvious) and backing off the intensity. Plenty of rest helped as well but, it will take some time. I guess it took me about 6-8 weeks to feel normal again.

WoW! This sounds exactly how I felt about 3 months ago. If I worked out in the morning I would feel great. But if I waited and worked out after work it was like a battle that I could never win. I cut back on training doing lighter sets and it seemed to pass. Hopefully, with rest you will get that energy/drive back.

Thanks for the input! On easy days I'll have one cup of coffee in the morning and on intense days, I have continued the use of a pre-workout stimulant such as USP's Jack3d. It's a frustrating situation b/c the family doc has only done routine blood work and tells me it would be very apparent if I had an adrenal problem. I am watching my chances of a good season go down the tubes while I try to educate myself on the potential problem. I used to be a guy that would always improve and really open up late in the race, now I'm consistently running out of gas mid-race and being spit out the back. I was advised to begin taking pregnenolone by a friend, but I don't want to potentially create more problems.
