I would imagine that the stigma attached to High Fructose Corn Syrup these days has negatively impacted sales. Have you guys seen the new commercials on TV that are asking "What's wrong with it?" when someone questions that a product has it? It promotes that moderation is key and HFCS isn't something that should have people not want to eat the product. HELLO!!!! You want to eat something that is a waste of calories and promotes cottage cheese thighs, go right ahead. LOL. Just thought it was interesting how large companies market their products.

Exactly! From a buisness standpoint, of COURSE they are gonna protect HFCS. It is EXTREMELY inexpensive, vastly more abundant than pure cane sugar, and can be used as an additive in litterally EVERYTHING!

Sad thing is, that most people don't know anybetter? Just when you thought there was nothing worse for you than Sugar, along came HFCS. It makes Sugar look like Oatmeal...

I'm going to post something once I find it. You may want to use something else, especially if you're not 100%. Personally, I wouldn't use it. Consider it like the overuse of lard.

"If you see this headline from the Corn Growers Association, it will be intended to make you think HFCS is good for you. Well, I'd like to give you a little food for thought of my own.

Part of what makes HFCS such an unhealthy product is that it is metabolized to fat in your body far more rapidly than any other sugar, and, because most fructose is consumed in liquid form (soda), its negative metabolic effects are significantly magnified.

Among them:....

Diabetes ....
Obesity ....
Metabolic Syndrome ....
An increase in triglycerides and LDL (bad) cholesterol levels ....
Liver disease ....
Fructose also contains no enzymes, vitamins or minerals, and it leeches micronutrients from your body. Unbound fructose, found in large quantities in HFCS, can interfere with your heart's use of minerals such as magnesium, copper and chromium.

To add even more fuel to the fire, HFCS is almost always made from genetically modified corn, which is fraught with its own well documented side effects and health concerns.

GMO corn will radically increase your risk of developing corn food allergies. You can bet dimes to dollars on this one and become very wealthy if someone is crazy enough to disagree with you and take you up on this bet.

The problem with corn allergies are that once you have a corn allergy from GMO corn you will have an allergy to even healthy organic corn products.

On top of that, if you read through the Organic Consumers Association article linked to above, you get a feel for just how bad corn crops are for your waistline and the environment. On average, Americans eat over 14 tablespoons of sugar every day, and a growing portion of that is in the form of corn syrup

The Corn Growers Association wants you to believe that HFCS has the "same natural sweeteners as table sugar and honey." But don't fall for it. HFCS is highly processed and does not exist anywhere in nature."

I knew that you would come back with more info. I mentioned it to one of my friends sons and he had no idea its bad for ya, said because its made from corn how can it be bad? Lots of people are going to fall for the misinfo aka lies that this commercial is peddling. And we wonder why there is a problem with Globesity? The fact that there is even a word for it is just plain scary. Shaking my head.

LMAO! I thought you were just one of those lucky guys with a hummingbird metabolism like Aram and able to eat tons of food, enjoying it with a S-eating grin and telling the rest of us that put on 2 lbs of fat by drinking water, "Look! I eat 231,000 calories a day and I get shredded."
