I have a slight dilema, I like eggs, but they don't like me, if you know what I mean. Is it allright to eliminate eggs from the Lean Gain/Fat Loss diet? Also, I tend to feel very bloated when I eat starchy carbs, especially during the day. If I replace the starchy carbs with a low GI fruit, would that affect the potency of the diet?

Right now, I really don't follow a specific eating plan, although every morning I usually have a scoop of O.N. Whey with 8 ounces of 1% milk and pour it over a very small bowl of high fiber cereal.

For meal 2 and 4 I usually have the same thing, a scoop of whey protein, and 1/2 TBS of whipping cream.

Meal 3 is usually some type of meat and roughly 1 to 2 cups of vegetables or an apple.

Meal 5 is some type of meat, and here is usually eat some starchy carbs because my workout usually ends about a half hour before meal 5.

I might have a snack later in the evening if I am feeling hungry, try to make it half-way healthy. (peanut butter)

I take 2 Omega 3's , 2 liver tablets, 2 amino acid tabs each whole food meal. A multi-vit in the morning along with MSM.

I am 5' 8" weigh 172# and probably have about 20% bf. Would like to get quite a bit leaner without losing muscle.

Yeah, just replace the eggs with a quality lean meat. Eggs are a very common food sensitivity/intolerances.

1 whole egg = ~1oz of meat. 2 egg whites = ~1oz of meat.

If you decide to go with a with a white meat you might consider adding some healthy fats along with it. i.e. Fish oil, Bev EFA, Orangic Grass-Fed Butter, Coconut oil, etc.

No, it doesnt. I have been using Optimum Nutrition's whey protein for about 8 years, love the taste and as long as I stay away from eggs and beans(I can eat green ones) I am relatively gas free.

8yrs....It's time for a change. You need to rotate your protien sources to keep from developing food sensitivites.

Get rid of that flex fuel and get good some high octane UMP.

You can thank me later! Smile

I often will replace the eggs with a scoop of UMP or MP mixed in my oatmeal. It makes the oatmeal taste better than any other flavoring trick I've tried.

It's worth noting that not having gas or distress is not the only measure of your protein being effective or not. I could eat a block of tofu and it won't cause gas or digestive issues, but it certainly won't build any muscle.

Heed the advice of Joe and 4u2nv. As was said, you'll thank them later.
You said you want to retain your muscle while you lose fat, so you should go with the appropriate dose of Ultra 40 and Mass. You need AT LEAST 17 a day of each at your weight. 4 of each with every meal and shake will be most effective.
