I just had a birthday in April and my family bought me a Wii Fit. I weighed in on my birthday at 311.1 pounds. I promised myself enough is enough. I got a diet suggested to me from a loyal Beverly user at the gym, along with a supplement routine. I have been working out with cardio every morning first thing and get a lift and cardio in the evening as well. I just want to see if I am doing everything right or what I need to tweak. So far I have lost 26.7 pounds as of this morning. Here is my info: 5'11, 284 pounds, 39 BMI (Carrying a lot of Muscle and a WHOLE lot of fat) My goal's are very high, but I hope not unrealistic, and that is to step on stage as a novice at the Northern Kentucky show. I realize though if it could happen we are looking at 2011. I just want to know I can do it. Meal One: 2 eggs, 4 egg whites, 5 oz lean meat, one packet oatmeal -Super pak, 2 Mass amino tablets, 2 ultra 40's, 1 lean out, 2 7keto Meal Two: 1 scoop UMP with 8 oz's Skim Milk Meal Three: 8 oz lean meat, 2/3 cup brown rice, 1 fat free yogurt cup. -1 lean out, 2 Mass amino tablets, 2 Ultra 40's Meal Four: 1 Scoop Muscle Provider with 8 oz Skim Milk Meal Five: 10 oz lean meat, 2 cups broccoli - 1 lean out, 2 7Keto, 2 Mass aminos, 2 ultra 40's Meal Six: 1 scoop Muscle provider with 8 o milk right before bed. Do I need to adjust this for better results? Do I need to add another supplement like Creatine or up-lift? Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Congrats on deciding to make a significant change in your body. Your diet plan is sound. At your bodyweight just sticking to an organized plan is the most important thing that you can do. However, since I have formulated many of the Beverly products and nutrition plans I will give you a couple of suggestions that may be beneficial to you and to all who view your post. It's very important that we don't get too technical though as that is almost everyone's downfall - micromanaging their diet. Meal 1: food choices are perfect (and at this stage oatmeal in a packet is fine, although eventually you'll have to go to Quick Oats). This is what I mean about micromanaging - whatever is convenient is much more important at this stage. Supplements: up 7-Keto to 3 that's the research proven amount. 1 Lean Out per meal is fine at this stage. You probably want to keep as much of that muscle you have as possible while dieting so increase Mass and Ultra 40 to 3 tablets each. Meal 2:If this amount tastes good and soothes your hunger to you next meal it is fine. You could even double the amounts without hurting your diet. Add another Lean Out here. Meal 3: Perfect food choice, increase Mass and Ultra 40 to 3 each. Meal 4: Fine, or use a little variety. Try 2 scoops MP and just water or whatever you like best. 1 Lean Out. Meal 5: Up 7-Keto to 3; Mass and Ultra 40 to 3 Meal 6: UMP in cold water would be better right before bed than MP in milk. Your supplement plan and nutrition plan are fine. In 8 weeks you should be able to lose 10-15 lbs of fat given your current size. One last time: Don't get too technical - follow your plan as close as you are able and if you mess up, go right back on it. See you onstage at the 2011 Northern.

Brad, Couldn't have said it any better than what Roger said. As I am sure you know he is man behind Beverly so take his words as gospel! One additional thing I want to add is about your brain. Your plan looks great, your passion comes out through the computer screen (if that is possible) and you show a ton of motivation. All wonderful things! What Roger mentions about about keeping it simple is so incredibly important. In my opinion the thing that will kill the momentum for any motivated individual is burn out. Master the basics but don't make it too complex, make your plan and lifestyle manageable and balanced. When you start something new you are excited and on top of the world but 6 months down the road routine will set in and the excitement will die down. It is during those times when you need more than excitement. I tell you this because I have experienced it myself and have seen countless clients get into a burnout mode. Bodybuilding can be one of the most rewarding things in your life and some people can also obsess about it. I can't overemphasize enough how important it is to keep balance in your life, give yourself plenty of grace and at the same time attack your goals with a vengeance. Roger told me years ago that ALL PLANS WORK UNTIL THEY STOP WORKING . Nothing could be more true! You have a good plan here, follow it until you stop seeing results. How do you know when you aren't getting results anymore? Look at measures of progress. Take pictures, body measurements (on a empty stomach once a week) and then either have a coach, the Beverly board or someone you trust and check in with them once every couple of weeks. If you are getting feedback then it may be time to adjust training, nutrition and supplements but until then just keep doing what you are doing, keep it simple and master the basics of bodybuilding. Become Spongebob Squarepants and soak it all up! Jeremiah Forster 10+ years Devoted Beverly User

Jeremiah, I appreciate the words of motivation. I will keep them close as the days become hard. I checked out your website and you are quite impressive. It is people like you and others on this board that keep us beginners excited about the journey we are starting out on. Brad
