Creatinine blood levels affected by Supplements, Exercise?

Any doc's that can advise if body builders, ingesting supplement or protein, elevates the blood results for creatinine?
I read something like this, and because my creatinine levels showed up slightly above normal, this affected my health insurance coverage.
I wouldn't assume either the doctor or the insurance company makes exceptions for these reasons, but I want to know so I can have creatinine clearance test done and prepare accordingly, since I'm assuming I'm normal but perhaps supplements, intake or exercise gave the higher than average results.

We are not physicians, but here is the info on this subject that we have at Beverly...
There is a definite relationship between serum creatinine levels, muscle mass and body building.

When you ingest large amounts of beef and other meats containing significant amounts of creatine your creatinine levels will reflect this by displaying an increase. Intense training breaks down muscle which also may result in increased creatinine levels. In addition to this, the more muscle mass you carry the higher your creatine levels will be.

But for safety’s sake, be sure that you check with your doctor to rule out any medical condition that is responsible for the slightly elevated creatinine levels.

Thanks Sandy.
I'm going to have the tests done for sure.
Just curious to hear from others if what I read re bodybuilders, ingestion of creatine could have made the tests a bit higher than normal.
Perhaps this is not an uncommon trait in blood tests a sports doctor would concur happens more often than not.

Take a look at this:

medicinenet.com/creatinine_blood_test/index.

I don't believe the ingesting creatine will make a big difference. There may be other underlying factors. Ask your doctor what the amount was and what is common for your age and gender. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water to help your kidneys, period.

# EDIT #

Taking creatine and adding beef to your diet does raise your levels. What you're needing to do is find out what your levels are and how high they're considering (ins) is high, what the doctor is saying is high compared what should be recommended or clinical "norm" for you.
