I want to try out some Beverly supplements and receive the news letter and really like what I see, but when I check out the products it kind of seems like the price is a touch ridiculous... I am not being crude in anyway I just wanna know why?? There are tons of great supplements out there that are not nearly as much and you get more, I know people are gonna say well the quality is better and this and that...However, it still seems like a 30 serving (which is really only 15 shakes for a real bodybuilder), for 32$ is kinda steep? I just hope a company that has such a great reputation for natural bodybuilders can get the prices competitive... Thanks..

LOL, Have you checked out Jay Rob? How about AdvoCare, the one athletes promote? I've seen MetRx about the same price. How about products from Dr. Serrano (also a consultant for Beverly). There are tons of supplement companies, but I wouldn't use the word, "great", nor their products. Stemulite is one of those products based on probability and theory. This is by no means expensive. Cost more, but not expensive. More, or cheaper is not always better. 50 cent can of tuna or 1.30 albacore? I choose albacore or tuna fillet. More expensive isn't always better, but I do know, in this case, it is. 15 shakes for you? Ok, that adds up to slightly more than 2 bucks per shake. That's not bad, considering how much people spend on stuff, like eating out or miscellaneous junk. Nearly all of us that post on here have tried others, trial and definitely ERROR, and that is our basis for use. If we can't afford, most of us just don't use a lesser grade/quality. As Jason once said in regard to PROTEIN and the quality of proteins, "Hair is protein..." I think all of us know how well we digest hair. Your best bet is not to complain about it here, but call Beverly directly and tell them. Simple rule, fuel a top fuel dragster with RaceTrack or your low grade fuel or do you get the right mix and pay the price? There is the protein factory that you can create your own blend, but grade 5 isn't cheap. Frank "Lift and be happy. Lift harder and be excited...Get Excited, Get Big!!!"

Thanks for the reply but I don't want people to think I am complaining.... I am just curious about the products...Because the news letter is great I would assume the products are the same... And because of the problem of the publicity like you mentioned earlier I am skeptical on what to use... Just as every serious bodybuilder is...

UMP and Density are by far the two best Beverly products I've used. As far as the other ones go I didn't care for them as much. I do wish they made bigger serving sizes as most of them don't even last two weeks but alot of supp companies do that. I think its all just a matter of personal opinion like anything else. Some people will stand by all Bev supps until the end where there are some like me who only like a select few.

I agree with Frank. $2.00+/- per serving for 40g of the highest quality protein is hard to beat. I think once you try the Beverly products you will realize the difference and never go back, as that is what happened to me. I know its cliche, but in this case you do "get what you pay for". Also, how many other top supplement companies publish a high quality magazine, offer free phone consultations, and the owners often answer the phone to take an order or answer questions. Along with a great product, Beverly also cares about their customers and goes above and beyond to assist them.

eat whole food for a while instead of powders and see how your cost works out. protein powders are not always the answer, but they are simple and easy compared to sitting down to eat every three hours. i do agree with Frank. 2 bucks is hardly robbery when it comes to a nutrition packed meal when you put it in perspective of what 2 dollars will buy you at say McD's. i feel your pain though freind. i work for a living and body building is an expensive way of life. when you find yourself spending a couple hundred a month on supps you really have to sort out your priorities. have faith....dig deeper....it's supposed to hurt

Sorry, my mistake. I took it as a complaint. If you wait a little longer you'll get plenty of feed back. I'll tell you this much, Bev will stand behind their product and if you don't like it, send the stuff back and you'll get your money back. Are any of the other supp companies that confident about their product? Take a shot. I stock up. I just bought 3 UMP and 4 Mass Maker, along with some other stuff. I don't always use supps, but now it is time for me to put them into my training scheme. For example, 7 Keto has been around for quite some time and this is the first time I'm going to be using it. I love Muscle Synergy and Density. Give it a shot because in effect, you really have nothing to lose. You can put it back in the box and say it was (adjectives as you wish) and would like your money back. Frank "Lift and be happy. Lift harder and be excited...Get Excited, Get Big!!!"

I agree that they do stand by there products very good...I guess i'm just not wanting to pay as much for something that isn't as highly popular as say muscletech or bsn or something...I know the quality of the product from beverly is more than likely just as good or better.... Maybe just bigger serving sizes available for lower prices or something?? But your right, there isn't anything to lose so more than likely i'll give it a shot... But at the same time, Hey how about a 5 pound tub ya know?

I thought about that once. The smaller tubs make it easier for me to take along on short trips, as I do that quite often. Also, another reason I stock up on the quantity and imagine if Bev sells 5lb tubs. Pros: 1. Cheaper on packaging. 2. Less plastic for the environment 3. Perhaps those savings can reflect back to the consumer. Cons: 1. At least 2.3 times the price of $32 2. Big container 3. Because of the price, it sits on the shelf longer. If you're a natural competitor, the benefits are far more greater. Do you remember the MuscleTech issue for the Olympian? Supposedly, the assay test showed prohormones added, which in turn, disqualified him because it showed up positive as steriods. My suggestion would be to try UMP Cookies and Cream, Density and if you're doing fatloss, Lean Out and 7 Keto. Best wishes!! Frank "Lift and be happy. I feel your pain. I just started using UMP and have gone through 2 tubs. My wife also likes this protein and she has hated every other protein source that I have used(been training for about 5 years). Just bought my third tub today. About 32 bones a clip(even more expensive online). I talked to my guy who owns the supplement store(that I buy from) and I know I will take some flack on this message board but I use the UMP for my meal in between and before bed. I use a different whey protein for my other protein uses. However, any Beverly Product that I have used so far has been amazing. My muscle are fuller and I am having an easier time staying lean and not losing muscle mass. Hope this helps. PM me if you want to know the supplement store.

As far as MuscleTech or BSN, they are very much inferior to Beverly. Check the protein sources on either, and the first ingredient is whey concentrate, not the best source of whey. I wonder why BSN's biggest endorser, Ronnie Coleman, would have a jug of Beverly protein on his kitchen counter in a shot on one of his DVD's? It is fairly well known that a few sponsored athletes use Beverly proteins and not that of their company. That , to me, says a lot about Beverlys reputation in the industry. The only reason the other companies are more popular is that they choose to put their money into big budget ad campaigns and sponsorships, not into the quality of their product. Beverly may be a little more expensive, but I challenge anyone to find a higher quality product.

One other point, I don't use 2 scoops as most people would because of the quality and the current diet doesn't require a high protein intake. I use more fruit in the shake. However, beginning Monday, all is going to change. Only one solid meal, the rest for the week will be protein shakes of UMP or MM. Frank "Lift and be happy. Frank...why so drastic measures. Is it something that you do often? Just curious.

I have done all protein shakes for a week but I also have veggies with it. It wasn't the greatest week of my life...lol.

I don't plan on it being the greatest week, but I feel feeding the body protein, apples and Mass Maker for preworkout carb source. I little body detox using some lemon in hot water as a drink immediately upon rising, green and black tea, dandelion root, both liquid and caps, and somewhere in there, vinegar/flax/olive oil and water. All this for one week only (if I can survive...lol). Frank "Lift and be happy. Lift harder and be excited...Get Excited, Get Big!!!"

I went to the GNC the other day just to buy me some protien while mine came in and no way. Everything was well over that price. 2 dollars plus for 40 grams of protien **** i should of been doing this my whole life vs eating **** the last 24 years lol. I think for the quality of products...I have taken Beverly stuff before its very reasonable price. Will Garcia

GNC, are you nuts Will? They are so overpriced its ridiculous. Whenever I go in there I just look for the orange discounted items. Never have I paid full price for anything there.
