I just wanted to take a quick minute and say GOOD LUCK to all Team Natty members who are competing in the Northern this coming weekend. They have worked really really hard and they all look phenomenal, I expect each and every one of them to do really really well. And I truly appreciate their efforts, it was a pleasure to be a part of their preps.
They are Jeremiah Forster, Robbi Hatch, Joe Daniels, and Matt Geraci. You have no idea how much suffering and hard work they have put in to this show, they have already won. My request though, is that if you are there at the show (and you dont want to miss this one) PLEASE cheer these folks on they deserve it, and I know as a competitor myself when someone is out there cheering your number or name it helps a ton, confidence just builds. Again good luck guys and gal. Jason Theobald |

Jason,
Thank you so much for the well wishes. Jason and I have been working together and collaborating on my diet and training for a year now. I am so thrilled with the results that I would highly recommend anyone to work with Jason. Although I have been actively posting pictures and my nutrition and training on my website I have been keeping a very low profile on my results. I am really looking forward to showing off the final product this weekend. I hope to do Natty proud and make no mistake of how much credit that Jason deserves for the condition that I will bring to the stage as he has been a great coach! I plan on continuing to consult with Jason in foreseeable future! Now Joe and I may or may not compete in the same class this weekend but we were roommates at the Arnold and spent hours until the wee hours in the evening talking about various stuff and went and held hands and did our LISS cardio (1hr) every morning before heading over to the Arnold to work for Beverly. In addition to the appreciation of Jason I also want to give my appreciation toward Roger and Sandy of Beverly. I had the opportunity to spend the entire weekend with them and the all of Team Beverly and we had a blast. I really don't recall meeting too many people more genuine and caring than Roger and Sandy. I appreciate them more than words could imagine, appreciate their commitment to excellence in their products and appreciate them as people. You know being an employee of theirs for years, using their products for over 10 years and helping to start countless people on the products I have to say I appreciate more than anything their fairness and caring toward all people. This will sound very strange but without saying a word most people in their position would want to do me a favor or give me special consideration in competing in their upcoming contest. It never had to be said but what I appreciate the most is the fact that with everything that Roger, Sandy and I have been through, they would never give me any special treatment and will treat me the same as every single other athlete competing this weekend. I appreciate that so much because they love their clients, they love their company, they love their contest and most importantly I know they love all of you. I never tell you this near enough but thank you for your caring and your commitment to excellence! Jeremiah Forster 10+ years Devoted Beverly User |

Thanks for the vote of confidence Jason. Fun Joe? Are you out of your mind? LOL. Yup, training on 50gs of carbs a day is just a barrel of monkeys.
Funny how everyone says Good Luck prior to these competitions but it has nothing to do with luck. We did all the work, strict diets, and improved our chances by using Natty Nutrition's Services. May you boys all place first in your divisions. If by some chance you don't, you put forth your best effort and have showed more commitment and dedication than most people have shown in their entire lives. |

Ok- so get through peak week lady and gents! Get your tan on and enjoy the Friday night meal. Then have a BLAST on stage! You have done the work and be proud. I won't be there to cheer you on-but I will be checking the board to see how you are all doing. I know this week will be a challenge. YOUCANDOIT |

You are funny and right about the luck. Joe's plan is more like what you encountered last time, still tough down the stretch here, but his carbs are MUCH higher than 50, more around 200-230 ish. But from where he dropped from he is still feeling that. I think he is more so referring to see seeing new striations for the first time, his quads are feathered and yesterday posing was showing glute feathering when he hit is side shots, it looked sick to be honest. I think he might turn some heads. Speak to Jeremiah at the show about 50 gram carb days, Ive never prepped someone that needed more manipulation to get the look we wanted. He has been on carb intake of 450-350 daily for weeks at a time, then as low as 50 grams carbs for weeks on end (and remember this is a 180-210 lb person), protein as high as 300 as low as 190, and carbs on certain days as high as 1200 grams from all fast acting carbs, like waffles and syrup, kids cereal, bagels, white pasta and sauce, etc. He did all that while prepping 6-7 others who are looking fantastic as well. His final week looks like anything but fun, but the man has no skin left (ripped up to pieces) and we have been working on his program so long he is zeroed in on how to do his loading phase so he fills out, we've test ran it at least 5 x to perfect it, so.... Not much left now but to do it. Im getting excited just talking about it. Jason Theobald |

Hey Health Nut, at first glance I thought that the words YOUCANDOIT spelled chocolate. Can you tell what I am thinking about? LOL. I have brownies on the mind today with big chunks of chocolate and almonds in it and fudge frosting. That thought too shall pass. Thanks J for giving me the reality check and for letting me know that "it could be worse." Wow, Jeremiah has really had a yo-yo diet. |

Hey that is awesome Jason working with Jeremiah like that.
You two guys should think about collaborating and writing a book on contest prep and training! |

Jason, Is Jeremiah using the Skiploading method, and if so, what are your thoughts on the protocol?[/QUOTE] Mark its a variation on it, he used it though during prep in the weeks we had to take carbs to 50-100 during the week, he always hardened up and mentally it helped. For the show he really is doing more of a calculated junk load the morning of. We have weight to make so to that point it wont be fun (friday eve weigh in). We have tested this enough that we know what foods will help fill him out, how the water should be done, along with salt so that we can start the junk load that morning and not spill over..... Mark, I think it works if carbs are low enough during the week. You must be depleted to use that method, you cant eat 200+ carbs all week and then skipload once per week, usually, unless just a freak like that. I tested and played around with it on myself this offseason so I understood the basic principles of it. Jason Theobald |

Glad to hear that it will help you plan when to get there and what our predicted onstage times will be. Definitely gonna be a long day. I wish they had put the women's BB prior to the bikini so that we could pump up during the scheduled 15 minute intermission. And that reminds me, don't get me started on the bikini division.
Does anyone have any idea the number of competititors this year? |

I believe there are (as of last week) 210 competitors is what Sandy told me at the Arnold. That does not take into account last Thursday - yesterday so who knows. It sounds like the same amount as most years (which is huge.)
As for my final week prep Jason covered what I am basically doing. Remember I am a comfortable heavyweight that in years past had to diet down hard to be a light-heavy so when I decided to be a middleweight it has been anything but fun. I am doing things to make weight that I would never recommend any human having to go through. To be honest I enjoy the suffering because I know it is working but last night was something I would never wish on any human. Imagine a severely depleted bodybuilder in his final week that all of the sudden gets a severe case of stomach cramps, cold sweats and what feels like a 20 lb brick in your gut. It got so horrible that I had to give myself an enema just to relieve the discomfort. I feel a bit better today but in your final week you don't have the luxury to take it easy so I got up, trained and went for an hour walk and will go for another walk tonight just doing anything to bring my weight down. I did wake up this morning with veins in my glutes (which I have never seen before) so that made the horrible stomach cramps a bit more bearable. This is going to be a good show, not only do you have Joe Daniels competing but I just received final pictures from 2 clients I have been working with from other states that will be in the light-heavy that each look just sick! I have 3 figure girls competing (who each look great) plus a lightweight novice who is absolutely shredded! I do not recall being this excited for any contest I have ever competed at and it has nothing to do with me competing. I will tell you that nothing compares to seeing the accomplishments and rewards of people that you help. It is cool to look good and do well in a show but when help someone become their best it brings a level of pride that is completely unmatched! I know Jason, Roger and many others who successfully prepare clients for contests know what I am talking about. So we know about Jason's clients and now we know about my clients, shoot we don't even know about any of the other people that are going to show up which may be fantastic as well. We are forgetting that Julie Lohre works with a lot of women and no doubt will have many top notch competitors in show. What makes me even more excited about the Northern is we talk about all the great competitors but it truly is still a show for the first timer and novice. It is a great thing when Roger and Sandy changed the way they do things in the Novice division. What a great show, I am getting super excited just typing! Well weight was 179 this morning on my scale so that means I have to be 174 or 75 on my scale on Friday morning, then pretty much not eat and drink tea all day to keep my weight down and hope that the weigh-in scales weigh me less than my scale at home.
At that point I will go out and have a nice meal with my family (steak, sweet potato, cheesecake and a glass of wine) go to bed and begin hard-core loading in the morning. The crazy thing is as long as I do not consume fluids I can take in 1200 + grams of carbs and actually lose weight and get crazy hard in the process. As Jason has said I have tested this about 4 times now with the same result each and every time. Lets just hope this stomach pain goes away as it would be completely miserable to load carbs with an irritated stomach! Jeremiah Forster 10+ years Devoted Beverly User |

Man, I wish I lived closer to KY so I could go to this show without having to have to travel 7+ hours!!? You are a consummate athlete Jeremiah. You'll make that weight and you will be a very very scarey force to deal with at this show!
Hope you feel better? I have a feeling that once you get some, or TONS, of carbs in ya, the majority of that stomach pain should desist. Vijay Rock Puri, D.C. |

Seriously Jeremiah, you may want to consider some colon hydrotherapy. Find a holistic center and they should provide that service. I know, probably going somewhere that sounds unappealing to alot of people but it may seriously help with those stomach pains.
