Now that she has her PRO card in fitness it would not surprise me if she needed to dedicate more of her time to turning that into something that would pay the bills. I suspect that she is working on turning that accomplishment into a business. Best of luck to her.

Hi!
Actually, since I have a 2 year old at home, my husband and I decided that right now, I need to be home with him. Beverly is family to me and I will be filling in on occasion when they need me. My IFBB career is going very well, as I now have 2 pro shows under my belt. First with a 4th place finish at the Europa which put me one place away from qualifying for the Olympia this year. Then I went on 2 weeks later to place top 10 at the incredibly talent packed Charlotte Pro. I was in line with the likes of Davana Medina, Amber Littlejohn, Elaine Goodlad, etc. a dream come true for me! Ironically these were in Figure, not Fitness as I had planned. Long story short, I tore the ACL in my left knee 6 days before the show while practicing my fitness routine. Not one to let 10 weeks of dieting and training go to waste, I got permission from my doctor and the IFBB to switch to Figure. I am extremely grateful to have been able to do those shows and look forward to making a big impact on the circuit next year. Last Monday I had the ACL repaired and am working on recovering now. It will be a hard few months, but I am trying to weasel my way back into the gym for upper body asap! Squats & cardio may be a bit longer : ) Few more weeks on crutches and I hope to be back to 'normal'. Business-wise, I am doing personal training & contest prep both in person and online through my website http://www.julielohre.com Stop by and check it out if you get a chance. Thanks! Julie Lohre |

Hi Julie - Good to hear from you. Hope that your ACL injury heals soon - way to make lemonaid out of lemons with your switch to figure!
I had forgotten about your little one - your accomplishments are even more impressive coming on the heals of giving birth to your first child. What a great roll model you are for other young mothers who want to stay in shape and continue to attain their fitness goals. VA MadDog |
