I just got an OCB/IFPA email and our very own Aram Hamparian got a great recognition in the form of an "inspiration of the year" from that organization. I hope you don't mind Aram, as I am a fan of yours also, but I felt that it needed to show up on these boards too. Smile so here it is straight out of OCB/IFPA News and Headlines:

Inspiration - Aram Hamparian

The Inspiration award recognizes a competitor who overcame difficult obstacles and whose actions and determination are inspiring. Onstage New York's Aram Hamparian is very impressive. His awesome conditioning and good size are evident. His struggles haven't been as apparent. Aram has overcome a few bouts with muscle wasting diseases. He has also survived stomach cancer, Wegeman's disease, and a history of drugs and alcohol. He doesn't talk about these issues much. He would rather deflect the attention away from himself and use his negative experiences to help others as an addictions counselor. Aram, you are an inspiration and we look forward to seeing you on stage again very soon!

Modest Aram would never have put this on the boards so I did it for him!! Hope it doesn't upset ya Aram, but you deserve the recognition and the appreciation of others. Cheers!!

So often people make excuses to not lead a fit lifestyle committed to improving ones health, overall. Lame excuses such as I have no time, I can't eat healthy, etc. Aram, you have overcome some tremendous obstacles and challenges in your life and have achieved great success. I am sure that you have positively changed many lives that you have touched by sharing your experiences. You really are an inspiration.

Chunky you are too much, man... Wink

Thank you everyone, it is an award and honor which is undeserved, however I am deeply humbled and flattered by it, as well as the incredible amount of congratulatory e-mails I've gotten so far.

When the awards ceremony date and location is set, I'll post it here in case anyone happens to be in the area and wishes to attend.

THANK YOU!! Smile

Aram, for you to say it undeserved? I don't see how thats possible. The amount of people you help, well it's honestly more than anyone I know. You are nothing BUT class and I think anyone would be lucky to know a guy like you.

Here is to you and your future sucess'

I have said it before and I will repeat it again - Aram has been and remains a great Ambassador for the sport of Natural Bodybuilding. A well deserved award. Congrats my friend!
